This article is about keyword hierarchies, not keywording in general, but just in case I’ll go very quickly over the basics. I’m not going to cover the “standard” keywording features here – suggestions, keyword sets and the like. Once you see how fast it is to add a lot of keywords with minimal effort, I hope you’ll at least give it a try. Once it’s done though, it’s done forever and every time you add keywords in the future you win a little of that time back. Now, fair warning to get the most out of Lightroom’s keywording features you do need to do a bit of work up front. If you’re not using your photos commercially and just want enough keywords to let you search and filter successfully, this will very probably be enough. Job done! That certainly is an option, but what if I could help you to reduce the effort needed for keywording? It might just let you keep the job in-house and save a bit of money. One simple solution is to pay an agency to do it for you. You need to do it, you’ve got to do it, you hate to do it, and that results in having less keywords or lower quality keywords and that affects your sales. Typing the same set of words over and over again for hundreds of photos. Particularly for stock agencies, keywords are key (ahaha) to selling photos because keywords are used at the heart of their searches.Īnd yet keywording is just so dull. They've been doing it for more than a century now, and they really do have a head start on the rest of us, if only in terms of what we used to call '(!Wikipedia)' (but which is now simply the one constant in all our lives). The Deluxe+ Dock also offers parents a better way to co-sleep with their babies (be sure to review and follow all the Sleep Safety guidelines on our website). As to clothing, it is advisable to use wearable blankets or sleeping bags. Up until approximately 8 months, one must always place a child to sleep on his/her back. Rolling over is a natural development, which should be encouraged during waking and supervised time. The dock is not designed to prevent a baby from rolling over. When baby gets bigger, you can open the buckle on the dock. The innovative design helps the baby feel snug and secure. Babies can rest, play and lounge without the restrictions of buckles or the distraction of bells and whistles. We like to think it's the next best thing to the womb. Plus, the Grand will be perfect for the transition from his crib to toddler bed. Our plan is to invest in the Grand once Leo outgrows the Deluxe and then use our Deluxe for his baby sister or brother in the future. It is important to note, there are two sizes of the Dockatot available, the Deluxe pictured (best for newborns-8 months) and the Grand (up to 3 years!) You may be tempted to purchase the Grand so that your baby can grow into it and you can use it longer, but I would advise against it! The Grand is much too big for your newborn. We are headed on our first international family vacation in January, and I know the dockatot is going to be coming with us. We put this to the test last weekend when we went up north for a weekend getaway as well as to a New Year’s Eve party. The shape and fit is perfect for co-sleeping and we can fall asleep knowing that he is safe.Įven better, the dock a tot is super lightweight, breathable, and easy to transport anywhere, much easier than hauling and setting up a pack and play. We bring the dockatot upstairs for bedtime, and if Leo is getting really fussy during the night in his rock and play or pack and play next to our bed, I’ll move him into the dockatot and into our bed between us. The fit makes him feel snug and comforted, and is much safer than having him sleep elsewhere. The Dock a tot stays downstairs with me during the daytime and is the perfect place for Leo to lounge, play, and sleep while I’m doing other things. The Dockatot was designed in Sweden and handmade in Europe, and is now becoming very popular in the States. I was completely wrong in this assumption! Besides diapers and wipes, the Dockatot is our most used and beloved baby product! It is the perfect lounger, napper, and co-sleeper. I figured we could easily make do with Leo napping in the pack and play and rock and play until he was ready for his crib. I first learned about the Dock a tot on Instagram but was hesitant about its necessity while already owning a pack and play, rock and play, and boppy lounger. All opinions are 100% my own.įor those who follow me on Instagram, you’ve likely seen me posting photos of a very playful or peacefully sleeping Leo in his dock a tot.
